I'm writing this review as a cautionary tale about my terrible online shopping experience. I recently pre-ordered a watch from Shreve & Co., and initially, I felt the service was great. I received regular updates on shipping status, and the communication and response time was fast, even when I scheduled a remote pickup with Kiley and team. I was so excited to receive my watch as soon as it came in. However, that excitement turned to utter frustration when I realized the watch I picked up was not the one I ordered. All the efficiency and seemingly proactive service meant nothing when the core product was wrong. I felt compelled to leave this review and engage with customer service because this level of inaccuracy is unacceptable, and I hope to prevent others from facing similar disappointment.
Customer: This is absolutely ridiculous. I just picked up my pre-ordered watch, and it's completely wrong. I was told the service was great, received regular updates, and the communication was fast, but what good is any of that when you hand me the wrong watch? CS Rep: I am so sorry to hear about this, sir/ma'am. That is certainly not the experience we want you to have, especially after such a smooth pre-order process. Can you please tell me your order number so I can look into this immediately? Customer: My order number is SHREVE-12345. I meticulously chose the specific model, confirmed it multiple times, and now I've driven all the way here for a remote pickup only to find it's a completely different watch. It's incredibly frustrating. CS Rep: Thank you for providing the order number. I see the details here. It appears there was a mix-up in our fulfillment center, and I sincerely apologize for the error. We will arrange for the correct watch to be shipped to you at our earliest convenience, along with a return label for the incorrect one. Would you like us to arrange a courier pickup for the wrong item, or would you prefer to drop it off? Customer: I appreciate you looking into it, but honestly, having to go through another waiting period and then deal with returning this is just an added hassle I shouldn't have to face. I expected to walk away with my watch today. What guarantee do I have that the next one will be correct?
